In Catalonia, a Last Day of Bullfighting – Slide Show – NYTimes.com
I’ve always expected that I would enjoy bullfighting as a lover of Hemmingway, but I have a feeling that it would make me sad to see a senseless act of violence resulting in the senseless death of an animal that has not idea that he doesn’t have a chance. Still the machismo and tradition are alluring.
