John Coffer lives about 3 and half miles from Dundee, NY and has lived there for 25 years on 50 acres of land in a very rustic, cabin, but he still has some toys. His hobbies include taking tin type photos, tending to his livestock, and occasionally surfing the web. He lives in a log cabin that reflects the imperfections of life. ”Life ain’t perfect and neither is my cabinet”.

THIS MUST BE THE PLACE is a series of short films that explore the idea of home; what makes them, how they represent us, and why we need them. Produced and directed by Ben Wu and David Usui, of Lost & Found Films, This Must Be The Place, studies our homes. It’s where we live, work and dream. It’s our sanctuary and our refuge. We can love them or hate them. It can be just for the night or for the rest of our lives. But whoever we may be, we all have a place we call home.
