Hippie Camps on John Lennon’s Lawn – John to Hippie, “C’mon in Let’s Eat”

You can really tell that John had some compassion for this guy. It must have been a pretty powerful experience to be shot down by your disillusion in real life while tripping.

John Lennon is talking to a young hippie guy outside his door at his mansion at Tittenhurst Park, Ascot, Saturday, 22nd May 1971. this guy hoped of talking to Lennon to learn how his music related to him on a personal level. He was trespassing into Lennon’s propety, and was sleeping rough in one of the gardens in Lennon’s 99 acres huge estate. He was probably tripping on acid or some other substance, and then got the chance to meet his hero in person and learn that the truth about Lennon’s music was very different from what he thought.
