Austria’s Krampus Parade – Santa’s Evil Counterpart

In the USA, if you’re naughty, you get coal instead of toys, which isn’t so bad in comparison to most other countries around the world. In the Netherlands and Belgium, if you’re bad, Santa’s ex slave, “Zwarte Piet” will come and take you away and enslave you in his secret lair in Spain. In Austria and Bavaria, Santa has an evil a two legged, hoofed, horned, mountain demon named Krampus who will lash out his forked tongue, wrap you up and toss you in his basket while beating you with his broom as he takes you to hell.
